DO YOU INFORM THE SCHOOL THAT YOUR CHILD IS ADOPTED?

I have an adopted son who is now two years old. I will soon be enrolling him at a school and am wondering if I should tell the school that my child is adopted or if I should keep quiet about it. Is it wrong to keep this bit of detail off the records? What happens if I don't say anything and they find out at a later stage that he is adopted.
